Young Gospel singing sensation Dolly Rabuka has launched her second album. Titled My Loving Father, the seven-year-old, who just started Class One has 12 songs on the album.

Dolly's father, Viliame Rabuka, said the album was launched a week ago on Viti FM.

"She is an asset to the family. Her singing has helped pay for her education," Mr Rabuka said. "We want to invest in her for the benefit of the family."

Mr Rabuka said he wrote all the songs - two English and 10 Fijian Gospel songs and plans to release an album by the Seventh-Day Adventist School student every Christmas. "This is an exciting time for her especially when I have held her back from starting school early.

"Now she has started it has been amazing that she has been able to release two albums when she is only seven-years-old," he said. He said putting the album together took a little more than three weeks.

"One week was just working the music. The second week was Dolly's voice and the third week was for editing and mixing," he said.

Dolly said she enjoyed school and has since made two friends.

Mr Rabuka said on the second day of school, Dolly was asked to sing at the assembly.
He said the album was recorded in their home studio and was made possible through the assistance of the Fijian Affairs Ministry and former French ambassador Pierre Vidon.

The first album, Noda i Nuinui, was released two years ago. My Loving Father costs $25 and is available from Post Fiji outlets, Boombox Suva, Fiji Christian Bookshops, Madhu's Fashion and at the Adventist Book Centre, Lami.
